 My babies.......

Can you believe about 30 years ago the doctors informed me that I would not be able to have children of my own. HA look at these kids.
Left to Right-
My son he is 19 years old and a missionary on the Navajo reservation in Utah.
My baby girl. She is 18 and one week into her first year of college.
My oldest girl. She will be 22 in one month. She is doing well. She struggles with mental illness and lives in a group home.

Knowing we would never have children we intended to both get our CDL license and just spend our lives on the road driving truck and seeing the states. Boy God had different plans than we did

I think we faced all aspects of parenthood. We were blessed to adopt our oldest daughter when she was 8 1/2 months old. Basically she was dropped off with us and in one hours time we became her mamma and daddy When she was 1 1/2 we found out that I was pregnant. That was short lived I wanted nothing more to complete our family by giving my husband a son. Well we had our first son but he only lived 4 1/2 hours. If it werent for his sacrifice we would have never went on to have two more children. When our oldest was 2 1/2 her adoption became final.

Not long after we were blessed with the arrival of our second son. He was early and only weighed in at about 4 pounds. Other than low birth weight, jaundice and a few other minor health issues he was great. He eventually outgrew all these issues as you can tell. LOL He isnt a tiny guy. He thinks it is pretty cool to put his arm around my shoulder and bend down to kiss me on my forehead

Ok the baby is probably our biggest miracle. Although all 3 of them are just absolute blessings from above. None of them were supposed to be. The baby girl was 9 weeks early and weighed in at 3.5 lbs. She had some normal struggle but really for the most part not to much. She spent 12 days in NICU and came home weighing in at 3.14 lbs. WOW Are we blessed or what? God is so amazingly good!

So we went from expecting to never have children~to becoming parents within a hour~to burying our firstborn~to being blessed 2 more times. Although, when we got married I wanted to have a baker's dozen I do think I could have handled it, but God saw differently. Our oldest child is mentally ill and that would have been a greater challenge had we had more children.

God knew best "Til next time

Do you see what I see?

Not to long ago we took a trip to North TX. I love to carry my camera when we travel you just never know what you will see. It seems every time we take a trip there the weather likes to turn stormy. This trip was no different. So I take out my camera and shoot different shots. When I get home I upload them to my computer and just pretty much forgot about them. One day my daughter was looking through them and she asked me, "Do you see something in the clouds?" After a brief look I was like, "Whoa that is so weird?" Isn't it just weird how we can all be looking at the same thing but yet see it differently? So do you see what I see? Tomorrow we may take another trip to North TX I believe I will take my camera on the trip and see what I can snap ~Til next time

 Boredom at it's best ........

A couple of weeks ago we were just sitting around relaxing when my husband got a bright idea to paint our daughters pup's nails. As you can see she really didn't enjoy it much I think in one pic she even has tears AAAWWW At this point in our lives it seems that the only grandchildren we will have are four legged and have fur LOL I am alright with this considering none of the three of our children are at a point to be parents, especially since none of them are even close to getting married. So I am content with painting my grandpuppies nails. She is a 10 month old boston terrier named Mocha. She got her name because she is a rare boston terrier with brindle coloring. This is a stretch for me considering that I am not a dog person, Oh dear! I would have never dreamed that life could ever be this exciting LOl ~'Til next time

 Daddy's little girl

Monday we took a road trip to Texas. It was a really nice time. Never fails though that the weather turns stormy LOL On our way back we stopped at Lake Texoma and visited the dam. I was able to get this shot of my husband and youngest daughter. They were standing at the floodgates which I also found amazing. I am sure one day she will really cherish the memories. She has been a daddy's girl her entire life. Before he became a minister he drove truck. It didn't matter where he was if she got hurt she only wanted her daddy. What a bond they have. She is spoiled rotten and I blame him
I understand though because I am still a daddy's girl. There are many things I can do that some can't because of always being by my dad's side. I cherish those memories. It makes me stop and think of the relationship I have with my heavenly Father. He is a Father that is always by my side. Without Him I wouldn't be who I am. There are many things I know because of Him and the blessing of being able to turn to His written word to continually guide me through my walk here on earth. It is just amazing to think of how much He loves us! He loves us enough to have sent His only Son to make sure that we could spend our eternal life by His side. Everyday I thank Him for the many undeserved blessings that He gives me and the ability to worship Him freely. I am thankful also to know that when I am done with life here on this earth that my eternal life will be better than I could ever imagine. ~Til next time
