 Why............

Why do people have to be so mean? As an adoptive parent I can honestly say that not one of my children are different from the other in my heart. In fact my little brother was adopted and nothing could have made him any less my brother. There are lots of parents out there raising children who have no ties biologically, but that makes them no less their child or them any less the parent. I bring this subject up because I just spent over an hour on the phone with a young lady who was faced with the fact today of her child finding out she was not his biological mom. In a fit of anger her own sister proceeded to make this fact known in front of my friends 7 year old son. First I don't understand how anyone could be so hateful to do such a thing to a child. It saddens me After counseling my friend I let her know that eventually he would have found out and although it shouldn't have happened in the way that it did that she can make a positive out of this and build a greater bond than was there before. We all have opportunities in life to touch the lives of those around us and although we are not tied to each other biologically some of us are tied together spiritually through our Father in heaven. I come from a family of 7 children, I have 3 children of my own, but my family is so much bigger than that because of my spiritual family that God has blessed me with. I can go anywhere in the world and find new family members. It isn't our own blood that makes a family but the blood of Christ. How truly blessed we are to have a Father who loves us so much. 'Til next time

 My First Blog Post

WOW weird! I had always considered checking into this blog thing but just never did it. While in Oklahoma I met a dear lady who introduced me to her blog. Thank You Edna, I am surely blessed that God crossed our paths in so many ways. I am looking forward to sharing my stories as much as reading stories from others. This should be exciting. I will attempt to post photos in the near future. I will do an introduction also. I think this looks to be fun.
